Ubuntu Art & Research Residency is located in a rural landscape on the Masindi-Hoima road, 15km from Masindi town in Western Uganda, surrounded by rolling hills, mixed farmland, tree cover, and rich biodiversity. The setting offers a quiet environment for reflection, research, and interdisciplinary practice.

Within reach of major ecological and cultural sites such as Murchison Falls National Park, the Budongo Forest region, and Lake Albert, the residency provides access to diverse ecosystems and rural contexts while remaining accessible by road from Kampala.

Ubuntu supports slow inquiry, site-responsive practice, and environmentally grounded research in a space removed from urban production pressure
